The National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in Chisinau is the oldest museum in the Republic of Moldova, founded in 1889. It owns a heritage of about 200 thousand pieces, reflecting the natural history, the evolution of human society and the traditional culture of Bessarabia. The museum has a permanent exhibition, temporary exhibition halls, a botanical garden and a vivarium.
