If you want to explore the world of wildlife and those who inhabit it, then welcome to the ZooClub Mini-Zoo! Exotic just 13 km from Chisinau in the village of Bardar. Unusual exotic animals and birds from all over the world can be found on the familiar Moldovan landscape. It all started in the 1990s, when Igor Balzhikov, a zoo technician by profession, began breeding birds, but not simple ones, but exotic ones. In 1992, an entrepreneur brought ostriches to Moldova, which no one had ever seen before. And off it went…
The farm was engaged in the breeding of ostriches and their import in the CIS. Gradually, the collection began to be replenished with other species of birds and animals. Over time, the farm has become a place where children and adults can touch the natural world: ride ponies, feed peacocks and swans from their hands. They can also see up close and even touch the world’s largest African ostrich (150 kg) and the world’s smallest quail (100 g), Moldova’s smallest minipony (height 70 cm), American mustangs and the tallest Latvian horses (height 182 cm). However, this is not the whole list of outlandish animals that can be found in ZooClub.
ZooClub is open not only for excursions, but also for those who want to purchase rare and new breeds of animals and birds at their cottage or as a gift to their best friend, as well as for gourmets who prefer to see game on their table. And couples in love can enjoy a romantic horseback ride across the expanses of Moldova.
